This recipe is one of my family’s favourite dish that takes advantage of the canned mushrooms texture with tender pork meats, soaked in delicious and fragrant oyster sauce that is sure to compliment rice with every bite!
Stir Fried Pork & Mushrooms in Oyster Sauce
Ingredients:
1. 800gm of lean pork meat. (2 pieces)
2. 1 can of mushrooms.
3. 1/2 tsp of Baking Powder
4. 1 tbs of Dark Soy Sauce
5. 3 tbs of Oyster Sauce
6. 2 tsp of Corn or Potato Starch.
7. 3 tsp of minced garlic.
Instructions:
1. Cut the lean pork meat into 1/4 sections and season it with 1/2 tsp of baking powder. Let it marinate for around 1 hr to allow the meat to be tenderised.
2. Rinse the meat well with water, and strain.

Cut the meat into 1/2cm thick pieces.
4. Then season the meat with 1 tbs Dark Soy Sauce to give the meat a darker colour. Mix well.
5. Next, slice the mushrooms.
6. Heat up the wok with 3 tbs of oil.
7. Brown 3 tsp of minced garlic.
8. Add in the marinated pork meat.
9. Be sure to stir fry the meat until they become white.
10. Then add in the sliced mushrooms.
11. Cover the wok for around 8 - 10 mins. Ensure the heat is set to big.
12. After that, uncover and stir fry for another few mins ensuring everything is mixed well.
13. Then add 3 tbs of oyster sauce in and mix well.
14. Prepare a mixture of 2 tsp corn/potato starch with 2 tsp of water.
15. Add the mixture into the wok to thicken the sauce, and mix well. It is done!
