This bitter gourd recipe ensures that the soup is never too bitter to the taste, but instead offers a wonderful aromatic tinge of bitterness blended with the sweet stock from pork ribs. Bitter Gourd Soup


Ingredients:

1. 1 Bitter Gourd.

2. 1kg of pork ribs.

3. 1 tub of Pressed Tofu that’s meant for soup as its firmer.

1. Get ready a 3/4 pot of boiling water.

2. Cut open the bitter gourd into quarter slices. Then use a spoon to scrape out the seeds and white portions from within.

3. Soak the cut and de-seeded slices in water.

4. Cut the tofu into 1/4 blocks.

Wash the pork ribs and soak them in hot water for 10-15 mins.

6. After that, rinse them with cold water.

When the 3/4 pot of boiling water is boiling well, add in the bitter gourd slices, the tofu blocks, and the pork ribs. Let it boil with medium fire for 2 hrs. After 2hrs, simply season the soup with salt to taste, and a pinch of MSG.

8. It is now ready to serve!
