This is another one of my family’s old favourite recipe. The onion is delicious and extremely flavourful and fragrant, and by adding some Maggi Seasoning into the mix, the overflowing chicken meat juices with the sauce is a winning treat! Incredibly easy to make, and extremely delicious to either eat on its own, or served with rice!

Maggi Onion Chicken


Ingredients:

1. Bottle of Maggi Seasoning.

2. 6 medium sized onions.

3. Various pieces of chicken breast meats or thighs.

4. Salt

1. Peel the onions.

2. Cut them into rings.

3. Wash the chicken meats (or even remove the skin), and be sure to pat them dry with a tissue towel. Start slicing some shallow cuts on the thighs, as well as poking the breasts with forks to allow more of the sauce to penetrate into the meats later.

4. Season the meats with salt and set aside.

5. Use up a non stick pot.

6. First add around 3 onions in the pot, adding a few dashes of Maggi Seasoning. Then set the pot aside.

7. Next heat up a non stick pan, add a little oil.

8. Start heating and browning the chicken meats, but do not allow them to cook too much.

9. When they appear brown, place the chicken meats nicely onto the onions in the pot which you set aside earlier. Add a few dash of Maggi Seasoning.

10. Now add in the rest of the onions on top of the chicken meats in the pot. Be sure to arrange them nicely while adding a few more dashes of Maggi Seasoning.

11. Put the cover over the pot and allow the dish to cook for the next 30mins with High Fire.

12. And it is done! Either eat it on its own, or pair it with some rice or baked vegetables!
